The SCP-3 is an advanced speed controller for slot cars, using a contactless sensor to read trigger position via a magnetic system.
With a built-in 2.4 GHz wireless interface, it is compatible with oXigen digital systems and Scalextric ARC AIR/PRO.
Like its predecessor, the SCP-2, it features interchangeable cartridges for use with analog systems.
Warranty:
This product includes a two-year warranty starting from the activation date. Before first use, the SCP-3 must be connected to an Android or iOS smartphone for activation.
The activation date is stored in the device's memory and Slot.it’s database. Keep the receipt in case the SCP-3 loses radio connectivity.
This device complies with the RoHS directive and should not be submerged in water.
Manufactured in Italy, the SCP name originates from the nickname "SeCaPelo" (hairdryer) given to the early Slot.it controllers.
SCP-3 Activation
Before use, the SCP-3 must be activated via the Slot.it app. Activation is done through Bluetooth, recording the network ID (MAC), date, email, and other data in the Slot.it database. The activation date marks the start of the two-year warranty.
The app continues to evolve, becoming an essential companion for the SCP-3, enabling firmware updates and reprogramming for switching between oXigen and Scalextric ARC AIR/PRO systems.
Battery Choice (for 2.4 GHz oXigen / ARC SSD Wireless Systems)
The SCP-3 can be powered by an optional Li-Po battery integrated into the handle, replacing the cartridge. With this battery, the SCP-3 becomes a wireless device compatible with Slot.it oXigen and Scalextric SSD digital systems. A built-in safety circuit protects the battery from excessive discharge.
The SCP-3 recharges via a USB charger but cannot operate solely with the charger connected. The 2.4 GHz radio section can also be powered using an SCP-3 power cartridge (SCP301c).
